Plena

Reflecting the linguistic ability of Alena, the website is translated into many languages: French, Italian, English, and German. Given the freedom for the polyglot to write in each language allows her to connect with users from the places she has travelled.

The website automatically transitions to night and day depending on the detected user’s local timezone. A true magical dark mode not only adapts the colour of the interface but is enhanced by pink clouds, stars and lit up cityscapes.

Time and location is recorded with each new role, forming a series of connected pins that allow users to trace Alena’s evolving career. viewing at distance in space, gives the user a similarly birds eye view of her career, and as you explore and zoom in the particulars of each role come into focus.
